I am Beth Holland, but people call me Beeper and you can too. I began the physical practice of yoga in January 2011 when I accepted a friend’s invitation to join her for a class. I was immediately hooked on yoga. I loved the challenge, the stretch and relaxation it brought to my body. In a stressful legal job I craved the relief yoga brought to me. As a runner my body needed the stretch that came with yoga. It was running where I found the importance of breath and in yoga I learned how to utilize breath as a tool for not only my body, but also for my mind. In 2016, I was connected to my Teacher, Joseph Stingley, and became a 200 hour registered yoga teacher. Joseph’s teacher training was life changing. For the first time in my life I began an intentional mediation practice and found a passion for mediation. Teaching yoga and mediation truly is a calling for me and my life. I gain so much from every opportunity I receive to be in front of students with the privilege of guiding them through their yoga practice and I can only hope that they in return are gaining just as much from me. Yoga carries through to ever aspect of my daily life, but if I had to categorize other parts they would be made up of – being a wife to Mr. H, a mom to two boys with a third on the way, an educator of better and mindful beauty, otherwise known as a Beautycounter manager, and a lady trying to be the best that she can be. I believe it all boils down to love and because of that it is my goal to be a light in this world and shine bright.
